The goals of Al Taqwa Islamic School

AIMS OF THE SCHOOL

The school aims to develop each child to the fullest potential and achieve the highest standard of which the child is capable. We provide an environment in which the student is encouraged to develop in all areas, supported by elements outside the school but within the province of the child’s daily life. We are concerned with the child as a whole; his/her social, psychological, emotional and physical, as well as intellectual development. A positive framework is provided in which all these aspects of a child’s nature can flourish. Expectations of general endeavor are high, but are tempered by an understanding of the child’s capabilities at his/her current stage of development. Modern methods are employed and the curriculum is planned to stimulate the child’s interest. A thorough grounding in basics is given with the opportunities provided for the creative and recreational needs of the children. We aim to teach children to learn and think for themselves and the most certain way to attain knowledge and Islamic behavior.

O you who believe! protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allâh, but do that which they are commanded. [AlTahrim: 6]
